Our next PTSA meeting ...

CONGRATULATIONS
to all of our Home Energy Challenge Families! Our school won 2nd place and $8,000 in the
Hawaiian Electric Home Energy Challenge! Our families reduced their energy use by an average of 7.87%, resulting in
an estimated savings of $11, 500. We also all learned a lot about the importance of conserving our natural resources.
The Student Council voted to use the $8,000 prize money to replace the refrigerators in the teacher workrooms with new
Energy Star refrigerators so that our school can continue to work on conserving energy!
We'll be entering the Home Energy Challenge again this year and we need YOU to help us!
We need at least 50 families to turn in their Home Energy Family Entry Form by September 15 so our school will be eligible
to enter the Challenge. All you need to do is click on the link below to get your copy of the form. Print it up
and return it to the school's main office. Then just try your best to conserve electricity in your home from October
2009 - March 2010. The schools with the highest average reduction in their electricity use from last year to this year
will win cash prizes up to $3,000! We know we can each save a little more and help our school, so let's DO IT NOW!
